After signing on I chose this canference to see if msgs I entered in that othe
BBS were shown in the list of msgs .
    They were not

I thought the two BBS's were Siamese Twins, NOPE

The test echo over there and this one are not networked. I do have this
    one networked on moe's though.

Mike, I didn't know Moe's was still around
Now you got me trying to recall the BBS's Name way back when I Joined here
My thoughts are something about Railroads and Trains....
OH! PAN-AM BBS finally popped into my head.
It has been a long time.
IIRC, I saw post from you on either The Volunteer BBS and/or The Prizm BBS and Joined after Janis went to New York State.

Yes, it is still around answering dial up and telnet calls. I think Pan-American was what I called it for a while after moving to Frankfort
and before settling on Capitol City Online.

I like GT Power software so much I never could quite retire it after
setting Synchronet up for web traffic.

several others. I don't know if you heard but Janis passed a way a year
    or two ago. :(

I can not remember if I did hear about Janis earlier.
    Thanks for telling me.

I seldom look at GTPower pages on CCO.
Is anyone other than Daryl using GTPower software?

Before I joined The Volunteer BBS I had used The Commodore Connection BBS.

Then I got wondering about DOS and Windows 3.1 and thought to join a BBS that had echos for those users.
Got drhe C=64 in 1984 and began using DOS/Windows in 1993 or 1994.
My memory is slipping some. But I have the receipt for the 486 in another room if I need to refresh my memory I can look it up.

Hope You and Your Family a good Easter day.

GTPower was the first BBS I saw some people that were in other Countries. Taiwan is one place I remember a writer was from.
FSX Net has many in Australia and New Zealand using it.
CCO has many BBS Networks to read messages in and it is hard for me to keep up reading them.
Glad You have all the Networks on CCO.

We used to have a lot of active users from Taiwan, Australia, and the UK.

    Those were the days. ;)

That was the first BBS where I had contact outside of the country

I mainly made several fairly close friends from Australia back in

Rob, I hate it when android substitutes letters in words I tap.
I meant GTPOWER instead of GTPOSER as the phone thinks I wanted to write.
I need to review my my posts before tapping the Send button, don't I?

Rob, Which BBS Network did you mean, GTPOSER or FSX?

GT Power was picked up by a local BBS here. That only lasted a
year or so and then we thought we were losing it but another
local BBS started getting it, but was charging for access..

I wasn't too happy about that.. until I got a call from the Sysop
saying that since I usually handled all the Tech questions and
problems anyways that he wanted me to moderate the Tech Conference
on his board and I could have free access for doing that. B)

A couple of years later that Sysop died Very young, definitely
under 50, and I had to start getting the packets by long
distance from a more distant BBS. That may not sound like a
big deal these days but back then it took several minutes to
exchange packets each day and it was 45 cents a minute to make
the call so it did add up a bit..

Then one day when it was looking like I was going to lose that
one too, Mike Powell contacted me and set up exchanging packets
via eMail, which is great, and we've been doing that now for
    quite a few years.

The only minor issue is, because his BBS is in Kentucky, people
often first assume I live there... and nobody wants that.. <G>

    Just a typo.
I still haven't been viewing my replies b4 hitting the Submit button.

All this time I thought You (Mike) only swapped GT packets with Daryl.
I was suprised the other day to see post from Rob here.
His post today about you sending him email update packets made my mind clear why Robs post was here in this echo.

Lately, I noticed my Log Ons were the only ones shown after I logged on.
I was thinking I was your only user making the CCO BBS computers HDD making noise in your house.

Rob is a QWK mail user here. I am able to automate sending QWK packets via email so that is how he uses the BBS.

That log on list doesn't show ftp (QWK mail) users. It also doesn't show
me and sometimes seems to leave other users off. You and Rob would be the
two most prolific posters here. I have another few users who call in
regular to Moe's (the GT BBS) to play old DOS door games, but they rarely
    post in the echoes.
