I try checking after I sign off to makesure I see the Sign In box is shown in the upper right corner.
Iwas surprised today after opening CCO that I saw Ed Vance in that spot.

I looked in this echo and read the reply from you.
When I tapped to send a reply to that message so I could write about seeing I was logged in already, I could not get the window to open.
And then I noticed where my name was it now showed Sign In (Log in?).

So I signed in and saw a pop up about having a post in this area.
    DUH!

I hope my phone wasn't using one of CCO's connections since I thought I was disconnected from the BBS .

I turn the phone off at night and plug the charging cable in it as my regular routine.

I hate it when I see unexpected things happening.

I feel easier knowing that you said CCO has several connections available.
Its not like I am putting a Busy Signal on your telephone line by not logging out.

Just wanted to tell you what I saw today.

I suspect that your browser probably had an old cookie, or something in the cache, that made it think it was still logged in. Once you started
interacting with the site it realized you were not logged in after all.

    No worries. ;)

    I
It has been almost a year that I had this cellphone.
    Still adjusting to it

One other thing I noticed on it is when I use the Bookmark for weather.gov Louisville area often it still has the Forecast date/time of the last time I looked at that site.
So I tap the 3verticledots to tap the Circle icon to Reload the page to see the current forecast.
At least it had got me trained to do that.

I am not in control IT IS!
Makes me Praise the Lord anyhow, even though I know IT wants me to cuss at it. I regularly tap the square button to Clear/Delete what I finish doing on the hone to release the memory that was used.
But somehow nothing gets erased or freeed up as car as the WX and occasionally CCO BBS.

As the saying I made up goes: Here on Earth Computers alway win because THEY have inside information.

I have a question (another one?)

Where can I find a forum here about using Android phone(s)?

I amtoo lazy to look through CCO to see if there is a ongoing android topic. Thank you.

Well, you may want to try starting a thread in one of the general tech help/ discussion echoes, or general chat echoes. There is a MOBILE echo but I think the moderator passed away a while back and there is little or no traffic any more, so the general tech or chat echoes might be the best bet.

If it were me, I would try :

    (Msg Board / Msg Area)

General Chat / FSX GENeral Chat
Tech and Computer Hardware / Computer Support / Help (MIN COMP)
Tech and Computer Hardware / DOVE Tech Talk
Tech and Computer Hardware / PC Technical Help (ILink Hardware Tech)
Tech and Computer Hardware / General Computer Tech Talk (TQW_GENTECH)

I cannot remember exactly which names the web board shows so hopefully that
is enough info to find them without getting lost. :D I know that some of
them say "Computer" or "PC" but I am sure they also cover android devices if one should post about them.

    Appreciate the help Mike
I am sure many BBS users own smartphones and have learned the ins and outs about those critters
    Thanks again, Merry CHRISTmas.

I am sure they have. I may have mentioned this before but, for a while,
there was someone who had set up a way to run a "pocket BBS" off of a smart phone. ;)

    Thanks again, Merry CHRISTmas.

Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!

I can't remember you saying anything about the cellphone BBS .
A BBS would eat up the allowed data on a phone plan quickly.

I pay for the lowest price plan and usually get a remonder about 75% use by the third week of the monthly term and also notified when I reashed 100% with the note about the speed wtll be slowed down through the end of the month.
This phone is 4G and it ain't nowhere as fast as DSL was on the desktop.

I am glad I can use it for CCO and making searches for things that come tomy mind
When I got it I had the sales person to put Firefox and DuckDuckGo on it because I was familiar with using those programs.
Still I figure everything I do I am sure Google sees since their O/S is on the phone

    yes, I'm paranoid <GRIN>
