    What is TSNT14?

    He meant DOSINT14. I was having trouble installing it with COM/IP, as
    it said it couldn't find the file dninst.dll in \windows\temp -- and it
    aborted it. COM/IP installed OK, however.

    But, I'm still having some problems getting connected to my dynamic
    DNS address. Once I get that, I can go forward.

    Also, I'm looking at using a freeware program called TelServ for
    Windows. One would run GT with a "frontend" command line. The reason for
    that is that COM/IP is no longer supported or being issued...and the "replacement" is not a "virtual modem", and is a lot more expensive.

    That's the way I understand it. However, I've been having trouble
    connecting to my dynamic DNS deal from dial-up -- it's refusing to
    connect or timing out. The DNS Support people say that it's a local
    issue, and I'm wondering if my dial-up ISP is to blame. However, I'm
    looking at getting Comcast High Speed Internet, and that may solve
    things. It'd be a bit more expensive, but I could update the virus
    protection quicker...not to mention get the telnet deal going. The only downside with TelServ is that you can't schedule events on the nodes
    that it runs on. So, any events are done on the dial-up node...unless
    one sets up a web page that can be swapped out when your system is down.

    Now that I look back on it, it may have been that "GameServ" utility, for
    a "doors only BBS". The GameMasterBBS, which is running Renegade Software,
    is using a workaround, using Synchronet as a frontend telnet server, which then hands it off to the BBS.
