    Hey, thank you! This place looks pretty great being significantly
    different from most of the other boards I see :). I forgot to go find a
    Rip term to check that stuff out! Need to do that soon.

    I'm a BBSer since .. late 80s, I guess. There was a 300 baud modem on sale
    at Radio Shack, so I bought two - one for a friend who had an Apple //c+.
    I was mainly using an XT at the time. My friend never ended up using his,
    but I used mine daily and couldn't wait to get home from school so I could call more BBSes.

    I had a friend who was trying to encourage me to get a coupler modem for my
    TI 99 back in 1982 or 83. I did not, but I did get a modem shortly after I
    got my first XT in 1987. I soon got hooked on the world of BBSing, too. :)
