    Howdy! Mike,
    Long time answering your post.

You already know why I was absent from loading up CCO.

Since I've been back here the last month several different times I have got a Error Message on this Android Phone while Logged In.

A few moments ago as I clicked on a post I wanted to read I got another one of these same Error messages.

The post: Re:RIP Niklaus Wirth, that Nightfox wrote Sun Jan 7 14:00:33 2024 didn't open, instead I saw:

    Content Encoding Error

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because it uses an invalid or unsupported form of compression.
Please tell the website owners to inform them of this problem.

    Try again

Retrying to see the post came up with the same message.

The Address in Firefox that brings this Error message up is: capcity2.synchro.net/?page=001-forum.ssjs&sub=fsx-gen&thread=68659

The URL above wasn't made by C&P, it was typed by hand.
I don't believe I messed up typing it in.

I replied to this older post because of not finding a "Contact SYSOP" link.

AS ALWAYS ALL TECH SUPPORT RENDERED TO YOU BY ED VANCE CARRIES THE SAME RATE AS "MY I.Q.", WHICH IS ZERO.

Hope this is of help to You.

Thanks again for running this Capitol City Online BBS.
    Very Much Appreciated!!!!!

    Ed,
I am not sure what is going on there. I am able to open that message using Firefox 115 on a PC. Maybe it is something that the android browser does
not like? It is not compressed so I am not sure why it thinks it is.

Hmmm, I just checked and you are right. The newer synchronet interface
does not include a contact sysop link. Posting in this forum is a good
place to post messages like this, though.

    Thanks Mike,
I liked the Tagline very much.
It really applies to You as the SYSOP.

BTW, I learned to turn CAPS LOCK on this Android Keyboard is to tap the Up Arrow TWICE RAPIDLY.
It Is to the right of the Z Key.

Still learning but still at the Kindergarten Stage with Android.
Typing faster though by having the phone horizontally shows a larger Keyboard on its screen.

It took me quite a while to figure that one out. ;)

BTW, no one has said anything so I would not worry about it but FSX net
does have a HAM radio echo, too. Since everyone you are talking to in chat seems to be enjoying the discussion, I would *not* move to HAM unless
    someone complains.

    Re: CAPS LOCKKEY

I have looked at the Help section but tapping that up arrow twice to engage Caps Lock hadn't dawned on me yet.
I discovered it accidentally as I was writing.

I noticed the Key Spaces on the screen stayed Capitalize as I was fumbling and decided to experiment a bit (a BYTE ????).

At the store I asked how to enter a internet address for a website that I found on the XP box in Firefox History, the salesperson said after pressing the ?123 key, press the =\< Key that appears in the place of the Up Arrow Symbol.
The keyboard changes to ALL SYMBOLS, such as:©®™£√π%[]}{=\ etc.

Hope that Helps You or Others who read this post.

I surely hope someone in FSX GEN CHAT who reads my post of my wanting to use the Data on this phone via USB on my XP box knows a way to accomplish what I've read is called Tettering.

It would be so much easier posting and reading using MultiMail and the Batch Files for FTP as I did back before I lost internet connection.

I am glad I can log in the web portal, but doesn't seem to look like what I remember seeing on a REAL COMPUTER.

The system does tell me there are new messages.
Those new messages are way down the thread for me to read them, at least I learned some in the past two months...

BTW, Thanks for the first message in this thread about You wondering where that guy who acted as if HE was an Assistant SYSOP for You, and You missed my "Tech Help" messages.

I know some of those "helpful" messages had You pulling Your hair out and causing You to "Praise The Lord ANYHOW!".

Yeah, with COVID and all you sort of wonder what happened to some folks you lost touch with during that time.

BTW, I noticed you posted in the Pi net General area. I will be interested
to see if you get any response there. That network has been dead for a
while. I actually thought I had made all those areas read only or deleted
them but I guess I missed one. ;)

Mike, I'm always doing something to cause Your Eyebrows to rise.
    I can't help it!
    That's the way I am.

The above is in reference to the Pi echo.
Hope someone replies there to let You know the last settings still work.

DOS BBS is much better than WIN BBS via Android.
DOS BBS remembers where the last read message is and sets a marker.

At least that's my opinion, but what do I know?

Hmmm, Telnet via Android? Hyperterm plus.
And you do remember all of my fooling around trying to do Telnet, I know You do.

You know I always liked DOS programs even though I have used the Windows version of MultiMail occasionally if I needed to C&P a large amount of text from one of my files into a post.

Hmmm, Have I cause You to pull much hair out?
