A few years back I tried to use Vice to run a CNet 64 BBS. I wasnot
able to get it to work at the time. I plan on dabbling back into that again this fall. I will post any info I may find. Hope others will also.
I am currently running a Image BBS 2.0 in Vice in Windows, and have a testbed
setup in Linux.. Currently the BBS is at 2400 although, I was running at38.4k
am using Vice then I can use SyncTerm or CGTerm just as well. I playedaround
I will have to try the Image BBS or I was also thinking American BBS. I think cottonwoodbbs.dyndns.org uses American.
Once I get the hang of it then maybe I will try using a real c64. I just don't have the drives for a real c64. I use the
1541-ultimate-ii+ and it works fine, but trying to get the 1581 roms working on it now. If I had at least one 1581 I think it would
work.
Syncterm works OK on linux. I mostly use tty or vtty so I see some
issues on certain boards.
CGTerm is pretty awesome but ... I have to be in X mode for that.
Thanks for the response. :)
